My Project: Between Earth and Dream

The Dream of a New Life
Between Earth and Dream tells the story of a journey that began long before the purchase of the land.
I had already discovered this place several times, and I always found myself coming back.
At that time, the barns were not even for sale.
The farmhouse had been divided.
When the family project began to take shape, I started searching for the owners of the barns.
My wish was to bring this old farmhouse back together and turn it into a place to live, to create, and to grow.
After several steps, an offer was finally accepted.
At that time, the whole property covered nearly 4,000 square metres of land, with a house, a ruined penty, an old stone cellar, two barns, and even a few nearby plots of land.
It was the beginning of an adventure I had no idea would last so long…
And so, in 2019, I became the owner of the barns.
Following a few unexpected turns in life, the project then took a different path from the one I had originally imagined.
But despite these changes, my attachment to this place remained unchanged.
The years that followed were devoted to clearing the land, discovering the site, handling the administrative procedures, and preserving this stone heritage.
Step by step, this forgotten place began to reveal its story… and to write the next chapter of mine.
The Stages of the Rebirth
Over the years, the weather has left its mark on the buildings.
Some cracks have widened, and several walls now show signs of fragility.
The journey is still long, but the path is clear.
The longest journeys do not always begin with a first step.
Sometimes, they begin with a single glance.
The journey that followed took much longer than I had imagined.
For nearly four years, plans, applications, waiting, and unexpected turns followed one another. Some doors closed, while others opened where I least expected them.
Even bringing water to the land ended up taking an unexpected path, as if this project had sometimes chosen to write part of its own story.
Throughout all that time, my architect remained by my side. First for a family project, then for the one I continued to carry on alone. Without him, I would often have felt lost in a world I knew nothing about.
The journey is still long, but today, its future is beginning to take shape.
Transparency and Sharing
« Nothing truly happens by chance.
Over time, some constraints have eventually become opportunities.
The cracks that appeared over the years and the work required on the gable now fit naturally into the renovation project and the planned extension.
The first stages will focus on securing the buildings, preparing the land, and carrying out the essential work needed to build a solid foundation for the future.
The crowdfunding campaign will help finance these first concrete steps.
Every contribution, big or small, will help turn these plans into reality.
Because before this place can become what it could be tomorrow, it first needs to be preserved today. »
